Project: Logo Redesign
Description: One of our longest standing and most loyal clients is Kc Wayland of Modern Myth Productions and Wayland Productions. They produce one of the most popular podcasts out there right now called We’re Still Alive about life after the zombie apocalypse. He recently approached us to redesign the logo for his personal production company, Wayland Productions (WP). We had redesigned the logo for his other baby, Modern Myth, last year, so it was great to be brought back on board for this new project.
WP’s old logo was a bit dated and definitely needed a facelift. Kc wanted something classic, masculine and timeless. He also wanted to somehow integrate the imagery of a knight chess piece in some way. We discussed styles and ideas and then we got to work on initial proofs. After a few rounds of changes, we finalized a circular emblem with a horse (often used in chess to symbolize the knight) enclosed within.
