[The new Almond x Linus Bikes Collaboration - Check out the logo we made for Almond, it's branded into the wooden basket. Lookin' sexy! Photo by Equals D Photography]
A few weeks back I attended Almond Surfboards & Designs‘ 2nd Anniversary party. It was hosted at the Almond shop in Newport Beach on a beautiful summer evening. “Feel-good, tuneful surf soul jazz” filled the salty night, courtesy of The Red Fox Tails, a fabulous band from Oceanside California. The fabulous went on: the boys over at Almond debuted their first girls bathing suit offering, a sweet little retro-looking number. They also introduced their newest collaboration: a team-up with Linus Bikes of Venice California. Linus Bikes are a renaissance of the French style of bicycles from an era gone-by (think ’50s and ’60s). The vintage style is enhanced by an infusion of modern comfort and utility. Pretty much, we’re talking a savvy bike. Dave Allee, the ringleader at Almond, customized a few Linus Roadster Classics, creating the ultimate surfboard-toting bike. On it, a handmade wooden basket with one the new logos Hoodzpah just created for Almond brandished on it. It looks smashing.
Here’s some photos of the bike by Cameron Oden (he’s the swanky model on the bike in the second image!).

And here are some photos from the 2nd Anniversary party by Equals D Photography of Huntington Beach.

Always fulfilling to see your work on someone else’s bike basket…
