Hoodzpah Brands the South Bay Food Fest
It’s been a long time coming, but here is the synopsis of our branding work for The South Bay Food Fest. The event was produced by James Foxall (the fabulous event coordinator and Jack James of all trades responsible for the OC Foodie Fest last year at Angels Stadium) in conjunction with the amazing team over at The Home Depot Center in Carson, home of the LA Galaxy and Chivas USA for those of you who follow soccer. Through a friend’s recommendation, we got paired up with James on this project and it was a blast from start to finish. After finalizing the logo for the event, we began branding it for marketing uses. Being as it was the inaugural event, the pressure was on to start off with a bang design-wise. The look needed to be established yet fun and accessible. James had a vision of things being kind of retro, almost reminiscent of old carnival posters. So we started there. Below is the final logo we arrived at (you can check out the full logo process here), as well as some of the postcards, posters, web banners, print ads, coasters, etc that we created to flesh out the campaign.
The event turned out to be a huge success! Over 30 food trucks and even more restaurants were vending the event and thousands attended! It was so fun being able to go, and seeing our logo and work all over the sports arena!
